Device won't connect?

Go through the short checklist below — in most cases the cause is found in 2–3 minutes.

First — for every device
  1. 01The device is switched on and charged — the indicator on the body is lit or blinking.
  2. 02The correct app is installed — its name is printed on the box.Rokku devices work with one of these apps: O-KAM Pro, V380 Pro, iCSee or Smart Life. The Bell Door video doorbell needs no app.
  3. 03During setup the phone and the device are next to the router, not in different rooms.
If it's a Wi-Fi camera
  1. 04The router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network — Rokku cameras can't see 5 GHz networks. If the router merges 2.4 and 5 GHz into one network, split them in the router settings for the duration of setup.
  2. 05The Wi-Fi password is entered without mistakes — check letter case and special characters.
  3. 06Bluetooth on the phone is on — it's needed for the camera's first setup.
  4. 07The app is allowed to access the local network.iPhone: Settings → Privacy → Local Network → enable for the app.
If it's a 4G camera
  1. 04The SIM card is inserted the right way round, until it clicks.
  2. 05The SIM card has balance or an active data plan.
  3. 06There is mobile signal where the camera is installed.Check with a phone using a SIM from the same operator in the same spot.
If it's a video doorbell
  1. 04The router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network — Rokku doorbells, like the Wi-Fi cameras, can't see 5 GHz.
  2. 05The Wi-Fi password is entered without mistakes — check letter case and special characters.
  3. 06App notifications are enabled on the phone — otherwise the doorbell ring simply won't show.Phone settings → Notifications → find the app → allow.
  4. 07Battery saving / background restrictions are disabled for the app.On Android this is often called “Battery optimisation” or “Autostart” — otherwise the phone puts the app to sleep and the call never arrives.
  5. 08The app is allowed to use the phone's microphone and camera — needed for two-way talk with the visitor.
